Rahway opens downtown to a day of creativity, community, and celebration. The 5th Annual ArtsFest brings together artists, performers, and neighbors for an immersive experience in urban and eclectic art.
The festival takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 2 to 6 p.m. on Irving Street in Downtown Rahway. Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe and the Rahway City Council have organized this vibrant celebration to showcase local talent and strengthen community connections through art.
The day features 60+ artists and creators exhibiting and selling handcrafted work. An artist marketplace welcomes you to browse and buy unique pieces—wearable art, gifts, emerging artist discoveries, and one-of-a-kind creations. Two live performance areas showcase eclectic urban acts and interactive art throughout the afternoon. Scheduled performers include Ryan Silva (2:30–3:10 p.m.), Lydia Crown (3:20–4:00 p.m.), Danielle Escobar (4:10–4:50 p.m.), and Milan (5:00–5:40 p.m.).
Beyond art sales and performances, the festival offers culinary arts from local restaurants, free art classes for all ages, face painting, and interactive art experiences. Participate in the Community Mural project, where neighbors create a one-of-a-kind art piece together with materials provided.
