Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect information you submit (name, email, phone, town, and the message or form fields you fill in), account details if you create a login, payment details handled by Stripe if you buy a membership, and standard technical logs from hosting and analytics. We do not sell personal information.

Newsletter consent

A newsletter signup is recorded only when you check consent and we store the exact consent text shown on that form. Consent is scoped — it is not a blanket permission.

• marketing — email, and we may also contact you by phone or text about Union County Life. Used on the homepage, news, events, site footer, and the 6 PM Brief surfaces.
• product_email — email only. No phone, no text. Used only for puzzle reminders after a game. A puzzle opt-in is not marketing consent.

Newsletter signup writes both a lead row and a row on the send list (newsletter_subscribers). Submitting a lead form is not a newsletter signup and does not subscribe you.

Lead funnels

Inquiries we persist are stored as lead captures, each tagged with a funnel so we know which page they came from. Current funnel types:

Processors

We use the following services to run the site. Each receives only what that function requires.

• Supabase. Database, authentication, and file storage for the site.
• GoHighLevel. CRM delivery for contacts who consented to that channel.
• Stripe. Payment processing for business memberships.
• Unsplash. Licensed stock photography on some pages.
• Vercel. Hosting and content delivery for unioncountylife.com.
• OpenAI. Drafting assistance for editorial workflows. Published articles are reviewed by a human before they go live.
• Anthropic. Drafting assistance for editorial workflows. Same human-review rule as OpenAI.
• Google Analytics. Usage measurement on public pages (measurement ID G-5V2TR1RP5W).
