5th Annual Littell-Lord Farmstead Fall Festival

Littell-Lord Farmstead - Horseshoe Road Berkeley Heights Township NJ 07922

Dogs in costumes trot past an 18th century farmhouse, kids cast their lines in the fishing derby, and neighbors wander between craft tables and food trucks. On Saturday, October 17, the Littell-Lord Farmstead in Berkeley Heights hosts its 5th Annual Fall Festival.

The festival runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the historic farmstead on Horseshoe Road, near Mountain Road. If it rains, it moves to Sunday, October 18. Union County Life readers looking for a fall day out with the whole family, dog included, can find it here.

There's plenty to do. Visitors can browse artisans, crafters, and local authors, play games, listen to live music, and try face painting and pumpkin painting. Food trucks and a beer and wine garden will be on site, along with raffles and tours of the farmstead. A historical reenactment troupe will bring the past to life, and the Haunted Hollow adds a spooky touch. Governor Livingston High School students will display their woodworking and artwork. The PBA Fishing Derby runs from noon to 2 p.m., and the Dog Parade steps off at 2:30 p.m.

The festival helps raise money to preserve the Littell-Lord Farmstead, one of Berkeley Heights' most treasured landmarks. Residents can also give through the Littell-Lord Farmstead Preservation Project's GoFundMe page. For questions, call the township at 908-403-2101 or email adminasst@bhtwp.com.

On one fall afternoon, a farmstead that has stood for centuries fills with neighbors, music, and a parade of very good dogs. Find more Berkeley Heights events, arts coverage, and community news on Union County Life.
