AddamsFest Lantern Burial Ground Tours in Westfield, NJ
Westfield · NJ 07090
Long before he drew the Addams Family, a young Charles Addams liked to spend his free time wandering Westfield’s oldest cemetery. On Saturday, October 17, neighbors can follow in his footsteps by lantern light.
The Lantern Burial Ground Tours are part of AddamsFest and are hosted by The Presbyterian Church of Westfield at 140 Mountain Avenue, Westfield. Union County Life shares the details so Westfield residents can catch the final tour date of the season.
Tours leave every 10 minutes from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and last 20 to 30 minutes. AddamsFest volunteers lead the way, and some will be dressed as Addams Family characters.
There are no tickets or reservations. Tours are first come, first served. A donation of $5 per person or $20 per family is suggested, and proceeds support the church’s burial grounds. Wear comfortable shoes, since there are no paved paths, and bring a flashlight or a phone with a flashlight.
