Adult Cornhole League at Chisholm in Springfield, NJ
Lee Adler Memorial Gymnasium inside the Chisholm Community Center · 100 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081
The thud of a bag on the board, a cheer from the next lane, and a friendly rivalry that builds week after week. Springfield’s adult cornhole league is back at the Chisholm Community Center this fall.
The Springfield Recreation Department runs the league on Friday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lee Adler Memorial Gymnasium at the Chisholm Community Center. It is open to Springfield residents 18 and older, from intermediate to advanced players, and both new and returning players are welcome. Union County Life shares the schedule so Springfield neighbors can get in the game.
The season started October 2. Remaining dates are October 16, 23, and 30, November 13 and 20, and December 4. There is no play on November 6 because of the teachers convention, or on November 27, Thanksgiving weekend. Each week is a tournament, and all equipment, prizes, and snacks are included. New season players also get a shirt.
Season fees are $25 for returning players and $50 for new players, or $10 per player for a single night. Register online at register.communitypass.net/springfield with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. The league has a maximum number of teams, so a waitlist may be in place. For questions, contact Recreation Program Coordinator Samaar Nelson at (973) 912-2227 or samaar.nelson@springfield-nj.us.
