According to the Township of Berkeley Heights' public notice rescheduling the November Board of Health meeting.
The local Board of Health will hold its next quarterly meeting online in November.
The Berkeley Heights Board of Health meets Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to the township calendar. Union County Life is sharing the details now so residents can plan ahead. The board moved the meeting from Wednesday, Nov. 18, the date on its 2026 schedule, and there will be no meeting on Nov. 18.
The board runs the meeting. The township lists Health Officer Sandra Cortes, Board Secretary Linda Palumbo, and seven board members, including Council member Alvaro Medeiros.
The board checks on the state of public health in town, sets policies to meet local health needs, and makes sure those needs are met. It also inspects and issues permits to food vendors, pet organizations, community pools, and other businesses.
That work touches places residents use every week, from restaurants to swim clubs. The board's September agenda included a Citizens Hearing item. The township says agendas are available before each meeting, and Board of Health agendas are posted in its online Agenda Center.
