Cabaret for Impact100 Garden State in Garwood, NJ

78 North Avenue · Garwood, NJ 07027.

Between PTA meetings, school runs, and everything else, four local women found time to rehearse. On Sunday, October 25, they bring the result to the stage in Garwood, and every ticket helps nonprofits in Union County and beyond.

"Very Together, Slightly Exhausted: An Afternoon of Songs, Stories, and Becoming" is a cabaret of Broadway songs, pop anthems, and uplifting stories. It starts at 2 p.m. at Crossroads, 78 North Avenue, Garwood. The performers are Andrea Kelly and Kirsten Perfilio of Fanwood, and Stephanie Licata and Lauren Reed of Scotch Plains. All four sing in Women in Harmony, a local choir offered through Fanwood Recreation. Reed and Perfilio also serve as president and vice president of the Nettingham Middle School PTA. Union County Life readers can support neighbors on stage and a good cause at the same time.

Tickets are $40 and include light appetizers and soft drinks. All ticket sales go to Impact100 Garden State's Mission Awards Fund. Impact100 Garden State is a group of women who pool their donations to award large grants to nonprofits in Morris, Union, Somerset, Passaic, and Sussex counties. This year's grants went to Family Promise of Union County, The Great Swamp Watershed Association, Roots and Wings, and Safe and Sound Somerset. Licata, who organized and is sponsoring the show, is a member of the group's leadership team.

Tickets and more information are at luma.com/Oct25Sing. Current Impact100 Garden State members can contact the organizer for a discount code for guests who aren't members.

For one afternoon, four busy neighbors trade carpools for the spotlight, and their songs turn into support for families across the region. Find more Garwood events, arts coverage, and community news on Union County Life.
