GWACC Mayors Panel Breakfast in Westfield, NJ

Echo Lake Country Club

Six towns share one chamber of commerce, and their business districts face many of the same questions: how to fill storefronts, attract shoppers, and plan for growth. On Wednesday, October 28, the leaders of those towns will sit on one stage to talk about it. The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its first Mayors Panel Breakfast at Echo Lake Country Club.

The breakfast runs from 8 to 10 a.m. Union County Life covers events like this so business owners and residents across the Westfield area can hear how their towns are thinking about the local economy.

The panel includes Mayor Angel Albanese of Clark, Mayor Colleen Mahr of Fanwood, Mayor Jen Blumenstock of Garwood, Mayor Paul N. Mirabelli of Mountainside, Deputy Mayor Matt Adams of Scotch Plains, and Mayor Jeremy Berman of Westfield. Stephanie Branna, owner and president of The Branna Agency, will moderate. Topics include local business, economic development, community priorities, and the region’s future, and attendees can ask questions.

The chamber’s executive director, Faith Delaney, said the event is the first time the chamber has brought its six towns’ leaders together, and she hopes it becomes an annual tradition. Silver sponsors are CB Tech Support, Columbia Bank and Northfield Bank, and TAPinto Mountainside. Registration and details are at gwaccnj.com/events.

As the area heads into the holiday shopping season and a new year of budgets and planning, hearing six towns’ priorities in one room could show where they align and where they compete. Explore Westfield area businesses, programs, and local news on Union County Life.
