Liberty HOG Toy Run in Rahway, NJ

Rows of motorcycles rumble out of Rahway, each rider carrying a toy for a child spending the holidays in the hospital. On Sunday, November 8, the Liberty HOG Rahway Chapter holds its 27th annual Toy Run.

Riders meet at Liberty Harley, 12 West Milton Avenue, Rahway. Registration runs from 10 to 11 a.m., and each rider brings an unwrapped toy. At 11:30 a.m., riders head out on a ride with a police escort to the RWJ children's cancer hospital in New Brunswick. Union County Life shares charity events like this so Rahway neighbors can lend a hand.

The Toy Run brings holiday toys to every child who is a patient at the hospital. Money from registration and sponsorships goes toward the hospital's wish list, which in past years has included tablets for schoolwork, cushioned play mats, and other needed items.

The chapter says community support keeps the event going year after year. For more information, contact Debra Wevers at 732-789-7719 or debbie@wevers.us.
