Picture a room full of neighbors, a buffet table, and a band playing songs everyone knows by heart. That is the plan for Friday, October 23, when Relay for Life of Rahway hosts its annual Dinner Dance at American Legion Post #5 in Rahway.
The evening is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Union County Life is sharing it because every ticket helps pay for cancer research, clinical trials, and services for patients and their families. It is open to adults who want to support the cause and enjoy a night out with their community.
Guests can expect a buffet dinner with wine, beer, and soda. Party of Five will play American classics from the 1950s through today, so there will be plenty of reasons to get on the dance floor. The event runs from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM at 581 Maple Avenue in Rahway.
Tickets are $50 each. You can pay through Venmo at @RahwayRFL with "Dinner Dance" in the note. You can also drop off cash or a check made payable to "Cash" at the Rahway Regional Cancer Center, 892 Trussler Avenue, on Fridays only. Put it in an envelope with your name on it.
