Talking to Kids About Death Webinar in Mountainside, NJ — October 2026

Online via Zoom

According to Imagine's announcement.

Many adults find it hard to know what to say when a child asks about illness or death.

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, based in Mountainside, will host an online Lunch and Learn webinar called How to Talk to Kids About Death and Dying. It takes place Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Zoom.

Imagine is a nonprofit grief support center at 244 Sheffield Street in Mountainside. The organizer says adults often feel so unsure about what to say after a serious diagnosis, an illness or a death that they say nothing at all. Imagine believes children need the chance to have honest conversations about these events.

According to Imagine, people who attend will learn why it helps to make talking about death a normal part of life with kids. The session also covers ways to build a child's understanding of death, along with practical tools and words to use in these conversations.

The session is online only. It will not be held at the Imagine building in Mountainside, so you do not need to travel or park.

To join, use the Sign Up button on Imagine's events page, which opens the Zoom registration. The organizer does not list a cost or a registration deadline.

Imagine does not say who the session is designed for, and it does not name the presenter. For questions, call Imagine at 908-264-3100 or email info@imaginenj.org.
