The Big Cheese Screening and Tasting in Cranford, NJ
The Cranford Theater · 25 North Avenue West, Cranford, NJ 07016
A plate of carefully chosen cheeses in your lap, the lights going down, and a film about the people who devote their lives to it. On Thursday, October 15, the Cranford Theater pairs a movie night with a guided cheese tasting.
The evening features “The Big Cheese,” a film about cheesemongers and the dedication and competition behind their work. It is hosted by Brittany Bisset, a certified cheese professional and founder of The B’s Cheese in Cranford. Union County Life shares the details so Cranford neighbors can grab a seat.
Bisset and Adam Moskowitz, the film’s executive producer, chose the cheeses for the tasting. Moskowitz also appears in the film and will take questions from the audience afterward. Bisset said the story goes beyond cheese. It’s about working hard toward a goal you care about, something almost anyone can relate to.
The Cranford Theater is nearing its 100th anniversary. Owner Doreen Sayegh said events like this, with special guests, themed nights, and live discussion, give people a reason to come together at the movies instead of watching at home. Tickets and details are available at thebscheese.com.
For one night, a century old downtown theater becomes a place to taste, learn, and talk with neighbors. Find more Cranford events, arts coverage, and community news on Union County Life.
