American Theater Group is bringing the WE ARE Concert to Union for one night only on Monday, November 2, 2026. The show starts at 7:30 PM at the DMK Black Box Theater inside the Union Arts Center.
Union County Life is sharing this performance for Union residents and anyone in the county who loves live theater and music. WE ARE is a new film screenplay. The concert shares its songs and spoken word poetry, told through a community of poets who use language, song, humor, and shared memory to face the unfinished work of America’s civil rights legacy. The music moves through hip hop, rap, R&B, and gospel.
The company includes Tony Award winner Lillias White, known for Hadestown, Fela!, and The Life, and Tony Award nominee Christiani Pitts of Broadway’s Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York. Timothy Ware-Hill, a Peabody Award winner and the project’s writer, producer, and director, hosts and performs. He is based in New Jersey and starred in ATG’s Our Town at the DMK Theater. A larger cast and a three piece orchestra join them.
