Elizabeth Baseball Snaps 5 Game Losing Streak in Tuesday Victory Against Johnson

ELIZABETH, NJ - The Elizabeth baseball team snapped its five-game losing streak on Tuesday, defeating Johnson 7-5. Aidyn Ly scored two runs. Derek Guzman and Giovanni Garcia had two hits. Albert Maldonado and EJ Olavarria each had an RBI. Maldonado and Olavarria also combined for three stolen bases. On the mound, Izayah Perez was credited with the win, allowing three earned runs with a strikeout. Tiago Duarte pitched 1.1 scoreless innings and secured the save for the Minutemen. Next up for Elizabeth is a rematch against Johnson on the road on Thursday. Game time is at 4 p.m.
