
Linden Public Library Celebrates National Library Week

Linden, NJ - The Linden Public Library celebrated National Library Week from Monday, April 20, 2026 – Saturday, April 25, 2026. During the week patrons enjoyed many activities such as teen donut decorating, pasta-making, Linden Department of Health Blood Pressure and Sugar Screenings, and Book Bingo Extravaganza and more…. The library patrons who attended the events that week entered a raffle to win a mystery bag of library-themed gifts. The library announced Joann Daugenti as the raffle winner.Librarian Leanne Manna, reflected on the tradition of National Library Week at the library, “ We started our National Library Week program series in 2024, and it has been one of my favorite things we do. It is a great chance for us to showcase all the different things you can do at the library and the ways we serve our community.” The library is much more than reading and books. We have fun, learn, and build a community all at once, said Manna.Josh Melissari, Library Director shared, "National Library Week is an opportunity for the public to discover joy at their library, whether by attending a cooking workshop, checking out a great book, or enjoying a movie with friends.
