
Linden Resident Rose Werner Turns 100 Years Old

Linden, NJ— Linden resident Rose Werner turned 100 years old on April 28, 2026. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 28, 1926. She marked this milestone surrounded by her family, friends, and neighbors. She and her late husband, Bill Werner, were married for 50 years and raised four children, William, Kathy, Karen, and John, who are all graduates of Linden Public Schools. Her legacy continues with nine grandchildren and eleven great‑grandchildren.She moved to Linden more than 70 years ago and settled on Hagel Ave, where she became deeply rooted in the community. She was a devoted homemaker; she balanced family life with decades of volunteerism and civic involvement.She was a longtime member of the St. Elizabeth's Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Linden Knights of Columbus, and the Ladies and Men’s Club of Linden. For more than 20 years, she volunteered with the LINCS Food Pantry, helping local families in need.Billy Werner (son), reflected and shared,“ My mother was blessed with all these good years, but truly the blessing was mine and my siblings. ”Besides all her community work, some of her hobbies included camping, visiting the Jersey Shore, especially Beach Haven West and LBI.
