MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — The Mountainside Public Library will welcome pianist and entertainer NGXB for “Keys Across Genres: An Evening with NGXB” on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m.The free concert will feature a blend of classical, jazz, rock and pop music, offering residents a high-energy performance that moves across musical styles and generations. Registration is required. The event’s theme, “88 keys. No boundaries,” reflects NGXB’s crossover approach to music and performance. According to the library, NGXB fuses multiple genres into one engaging musical experience designed to entertain audiences while introducing them to a fresh sound.Senior Librarian, Katie Kotacska, said the performer was selected because of his distinctive style and ability to connect with audiences.“I chose this performer because he brings a fresh and unique style to our usual lineup of musical programming. He previously performed at a library where I worked and received great feedback from patrons. He’s not just a pianist—he’s an entertainer, and I believe our community will really enjoy both the performance and the energy he brings,” Kotacska said.Residents can expect a performance that is both lively and musically varied.“Residents can expect a high-energy performance that blends a variety of musical styles. NGXB has a background in classical music and jazz, and he incorporates elements of rock and pop into his performances, creating a unique crossover experience. Part of the library's mission is to encourage exploration in an accessible and engaging way. I hope attendees have fun and enjoy the opportunity to experience a different style of music than they might typically listen to,” Kotacska said. The program continues the library’s ongoing tradition of offering free cultural and musical programming to the community.“The library has hosted many concerts over the years across a variety of genres, including jazz, ragtime/blues, and musical theater. This performance continues the tradition of bringing free concerts to the community while offering a sound they probably have not heard before,” Kotacska said. The concert is sponsored with thanks to the Friends of the Mountainside Library. The Mountainside Public Library is located at 1 Constitution Plaza, Mountainside.
