
Springfield Police Arrest Newark Man in Connection with Guitar Theft

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Springfield police officers responded to a Route 22 music store on April 1 on a report of an individual attempting to sell a suspected stolen guitar. As a result of an on-scene investigation, the suspect, a 40-year-old Newark man, was identified as a wanted individual for a previous sale of stolen property, and was taken into custody on the strength of the outstanding Springfield warrant. As a result of a follow-up investigation, the suspect was additionally charged with possession of a false government ID.
