BUFFALO, N.Y. — Davison Igbinosun, a 2022 graduate of Union High School, is headed to the NFL after the Buffalo Bills selected the Ohio State cornerback with the No. 62 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.Buffalo traded up with the Denver Broncos to secure the selection, sending picks No. 66 and 184 to move ahead and take a player the organization says it views as an immediate contributor.Igbinosun was rated New Jersey’s top recruit in the 2022 class. He began his college career at Ole Miss before transferring to Ohio State, developing into one of the Big Ten’s top defensive backs and an integral player on of one of the nation’s strongest defenses. In three seasons with the Buckeyes, Igbinosun started 42 of 43 games and totaled 156 tackles, 24 passes defended, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries. He was a First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2025 after allowing just 22 receptions and no touchdowns in coverage. The 6-foot-2 cornerback posted a 4.45-second time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. In his senior season at Union, Igbinosun performed in a variety of roles on both offense and defense, leading the Farmers in rushing with 903 and 12 touchdowns and catching a team-high 20 passes for 404 yards and four TDs. On defense, he made three interceptions and a fumble recovery.Igbinosun's efforts helped Union to record a 9-1 record on the field that included the team's last nine victories in a row. The Farmers loomed as a contender for a Group 5 state championship in 2021 before they were forced by the school district's administration to cancel, and forfeit, a second-round playoff game to Paterson Eastside because of a few positive COVID tests within the Union football program several days before the scheduled playoff game.Igbinosun's brother, Desmond, was a starting safety at Rutgers University, where he completed his senior season in 2024.
