The Farmers loomed as a contender for a Group 5 state championship in 2021 before they were forced by the school district's administration to cancel, and forfeit, a second-round playoff game to Paterson Eastside because of a few positive COVID tests within the Union football program several days before the scheduled playoff game.Igbinosun's brother, Desmond, was a starting safety at Rutgers University, where he completed his senior season in 2024.
