ALLENDALE, N.J. – Allendale Senior Living residents Edward and Linda Wieczorek recently marked 43 years of marriage with a vow renewal commemorating decades of love and shared memories. The day was made extra special thanks to Allendale staff members who planned and took part in the happy event, with fellow residents joining to celebrate their inspiring love story.The couple resides in the senior living community’s Journeys Memory Care neighborhood. They met in their early 20s and tied the knot on May 29, 1983, beginning a partnership that remains full of happiness and devotion.The vow renewal was organized with one goal in mind: to bring joy to Edward and Linda. The event was a true team effort, with staff across several departments – from administration and dining to life enrichment and salon services – contributing their time and talents to make the day memorable for the couple and the entire Allendale community.“After 43 years of marriage, Edward and Linda remain inseparable, often looking for one another, holding hands and enjoying activities together in our community,” said Gitana Garbich, specialty program director at Allendale Senior Living. “They are a special couple, and our team was honored to make this vow renewal possible and share in such a meaningful celebration.”Hands-on from an early age, Edward turned his curiosity into a career in sound engineering, working on productions for NBC, the Food Network and the Olympics, among others. Linda was born in Queens, N.Y., and grew up near the site of the Woodstock music festival, which she fondly remembers visiting with her grandmother.
