
City of Elizabeth Offers Free STD Services with Updated Clinic Hours

ELIZABETH, NJ — The City of Elizabeth, under the leadership of Mayor J. Christian Bollwage and the Department of Health and Human Services & Public Health Nursing, is continuing to provide free STD testing and services to eligible residents at the Peterstown Community Center.Located at 418 Palmer Street, the clinic offers confidential services on a walk-in basis, with no appointment required. Clients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.Updated Clinic Hours (Effective May 1)Residents can visit during the following times:Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.Thursdays: 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.Fridays: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.First Saturday of each month: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.Officials note that a photo ID and proof of current address are required at the time of service.The program is available to Union County residents only (excluding Plainfield) and is part of the city’s ongoing effort to promote public health and provide accessible healthcare resources to the community.For additional information, residents can call (908) 820-4248.
