CLARK, NJ — On April 16, at 4:30 a.m., Clark Police were dispatched to the area of John St. and Haliday St. on a report of three suspicious males with flashlights. Patrolman Mateusz Pazdan arrived in the area first and observed a male wearing all black near a John St. residence. Upon seeing Patrolman Pazdan, the male ran into a wooded area. Shortly after, the male was apprehended by Patrolman Pazdan. A search incident to the arrest revealed many items which were later determined to be proceeds from car burglaries. With the assistance of Detective Sergeant Mike Ciaccio and Detective Paul Sosnowski, an investigation was begun into the vehicle and its driver. Upon completion of that investigation, the driver, Cristobal Espinoza-Alvarado, 19 years old, from Linden, was arrested and charged with third degree burglary. Both individuals will be required to appear in Superior Court in Elizabeth. Individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty. The Clark Police encourage everyone to report suspicious activities to the Police Department.[Don’t miss any TAPinto Clark news.
