
Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad Hosting Blood Drive on Monday, May 4

CLARK, NJ — The Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad (CVES) is hosting a blood drive on Monday, May 4. You are invited to donate between 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad House, located at 875 Raritan Road. The Squad makes donating easy with private, lighted, off-street parking.Your donation is desperately needed. Blood is needed for scheduled surgeries, traumatic injuries, cancer patients, and other emergencies requiring blood, plasma, or platelets. Your donation of one unit can save three lives!You must be between 17 (with parental consent) and 75 years of age (over 75 requires written consent from a physician). Prepare to donate by eating well and drinking plenty of fluids. You will need a photo ID, feel healthy, be symptom-free, and meet the minimum weight requirements.As a reminder, blood donors can give every 56 days, and platelet donors can give twice a month. Several blood donor eligibility restrictions have been lifted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). To view current eligibility guidelines, visit nybc.org/eligibility or call 1-800-688-0900.
