RAHWAY, NJ — Roosevelt Elementary School opened its doors to a younger-than-usual crowd this week as it celebrated "Take Your Child to Work Day" on April 23. The halls were filled with energy and curiosity as over 50 children joined the Roosevelt community to see firsthand what goes into making a school run every day.The morning kicked off with a warm reception, where children were greeted with smiles from staff and administrators alike. To commemorate the special occasion, each child posed for a photo with the staff member who brought them, capturing the pride of family connections within the workplace.Throughout the day, the young visitors were immersed in the Roosevelt experience. They spent time visiting various classrooms, observing the teaching process, and engaging with students. One of the highlights of the event was a school-wide scavenger hunt designed to encourage exploration and teamwork. The activity led participants through the library, gymnasium, and main office, teaching them about the school’s history and daily operations in a fun, interactive way."It was a great day had by all," said Lori Poulos, the school counselor at Roosevelt. “Seeing our staff share their professional passions with their children brought a wonderful sense of community and joy to our building. We might just have some future teachers and principals in this group!”The event concluded with a shared sense of accomplishment and a deeper understanding of the vital work done by the Roosevelt Elementary team.[Don’t miss any TAPinto Rahway news.
