
Greater Union Chamber Marks 70 Years with Gala, Honors Local Businesses/Leaders

UNION, N.J. — The Greater Union Township Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 70th anniversary Thursday night during its Annual Gala and Installation of Officers at Galloping Hill Caterers.“We’re celebrating our 70th anniversary as a Chamber,” said Executive Director James Masterson. “In those 70 years we’ve grown from managing one town — Union — into managing four towns: Union, Hillside, Kenilworth and Roselle Park. Our membership has grown to 470. It’s a cause for great celebration.”The event brought together local leaders, business owners and community members to commemorate the organization’s history and continued expansion across the region.The Chamber also recognized several Union-based businesses and individuals for their contributions to the community.James T. Schaefer Distinguished Civic Service Award honors those who have clearly demonstrated a unique spirit of service and desire to help others while contributing to the betterment of Union.Michele S.
