June 2 Primary Election: Important Information for Linden Voters

LINDEN, NJ — The June 2 primary election is less than a month away.Here is some important information about who is on the ballot and how to vote.Registering to VoteIf you are not registered to vote, you have until Tuesday, May 12. You can bring a completed application to the City of Linden Clerk's Office, located at 301 North Wood Ave. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.You can also register online by clicking here. To register to vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 17 years old and a resident of the state and county at least 30 days before the election.How to VoteThere are three ways to vote in the primary election: vote by mail, in-person early voting and in person on primary election day.Vote-by-mail ballots are now available at the Union County Clerk’s Elizabeth and Westfield offices during regular business hours. You can also request a vote-by-mail ballot application to be mailed to you by clicking here. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted. You can drop your vote-by-mail ballot at one of the secure boxes in Union County. Linden has a secure drop box located at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, 400 North Wood Ave.In-person early voting is from May 26 to May 31. Voting hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Any eligible voter can go to any site in Union County to cast an in-person early voting ballot.You can vote on primary election day, June 2, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here to search for your polling place.Who’s on the Ballot?Below are the local candidates listed on the ballot and a link to each of the ballots, for all of Linden's wards and districts.
