June 2 Primary Election: Important Information for Roselle Park Voters

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The June 2 primary election is less than a month away.Here is some important information about who is on the ballot and how to vote.Registering to VoteIf you are not registered to vote, you have until Tuesday, May 12. On that day, the Roselle Park Borough Clerk’s Office will extend its hours to help anyone who has not yet registered to vote.The office, located at 110 East Westfield Ave., will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 12. You can register in-person or online by clicking here. To register to vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 17 years old and a resident of the state and county at least 30 days before the election.How to VoteThere are three ways to vote in the primary election: vote by mail, in-person early voting and in person on primary election day.Vote-by-mail ballots are now available at the Union County Clerk’s Elizabeth and Westfield offices during regular business hours. You can also request a vote-by-mail ballot application to be mailed to you by clicking here. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted. You can drop your vote-by-mail ballot at one of the secure boxes in Union County. Roselle Park has a secure drop box at the Union County Emergency Services Building, located at 535 Laurel Ave.In-person early voting is from May 26 to May 31. Voting hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
