
Kenilworth Community Participates in Harding Elementary School “Walk & Roll to School” Day

KENILWORTH, NJ - On Wednesday, May 6, Kenilworth residents and Harding students and staff members participated in the National Walk to School Day. This annual event celebrates the benefits of walking and bicycling and promotes safety, community, and physical activity. Organized by Harding fifth-grade teacher Mrs. D’Arpa, the Kenilworth Police Department was also proud to support National Walk and Roll to School Day. Officers walked with students from Borough Hall to Harding Elementary School to promote the benefits while the Patrol Division assisted with traffic safety along the route.National Walk to School Day began in 1997, when the Mayor of Chicago and the Mayor of Los Angeles led the first event.
