
Ladies’ Night Out Meets Giving Back at Cranford Sip & Shop

CRANFORD, NJ - Downtown Cranford will turn into a lively, after-hours shopping and social destination on Friday, May 8, as the Cranford Woman’s Club hosts its annual Sip & Shop from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering a mix of wine tastings, special promotions, raffles, and community fundraising.The evening begins under a tent on Alden Street, where ticket holders can gather for one of two wine sessions, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., before heading out to explore participating businesses throughout the downtown. Local shops and restaurants will stay open late, offering exclusive discounts, treats, and event-only specials designed to kick off Mother’s Day weekend.Each ticket includes three wine tastings, a passport to guide attendees through participating locations, a door prize entry, and raffle tickets, along with a gift bag filled with items and offers from local businesses. Shoppers who complete their passport stops will earn additional chances to win prizes.Raffles are a centerpiece of the evening, with 22 pink-ticket baskets and five premium orange-ticket prizes available. Standout offerings include a week-long stay in a Hunter, New York condo and a dinner-and-show experience in New York City. Additional prizes include tickets to popular local events such as Witches Night Out and the Cranford House Tour. Winners will be announced at 8:45 p.m.Food will also be part of the experience, with several businesses providing snacks for guests as they shop. Garlic Rose will provide bites at Hickory & Hill, while Savor Snack Shop will supply treats at Golden Touch Jewelers. Bagged snacks will be available at Look Twice Consignment, and Venue 104 will offer refreshments at Amber Feather, giving shoppers plenty of opportunities to grab something along the way as they explore downtown.An after-party at Ye Olde Rathskeller will extend the evening, with drink specials and additional giveaways, including a handbag raffle and beauty product prizes for select attendees.Proceeds from the event will support a range of local causes, including Cranford Family Care, the Cranford First Aid Squad, and Project Home. Funds will also be used to provide scholarships for graduating Cranford seniors and to support the Cranford Woman’s Club’s ongoing charitable work throughout the year.“We hope to see many lovely ladies Friday night,” said co-chairs Marcy Kielczynski and Kim Sczech, who thanked sponsors and local businesses for their continued support of the event.Tickets remain available here, and organizers encourage attendees to make an evening of it by gathering friends, making dinner reservations, and exploring everything downtown Cranford has to offer.
