
Mother Seton Regional High School Senior Kate Robimon Wins a 2026 National Merit Scholarship

CLARK, NJ — Mother Seton Regional High School senior Kate Robimon of Westfield won a 2026 National Merit Scholarship. She achieved a perfect score on the PSAT, garnering the highest result possible in the math and verbal sections. Kate will attend Harvard University in the fall.“We are thrilled that Kate won a National Merit Scholarship,” said Mother Seton High School Principal Sister Jacquelyn Balasia, S.C. “Her academic achievements, leadership capabilities and vast array of extracurricular activities in our school and her community demonstrate her commitment to scholarship, service and strength of character. It has been a pleasure to share this journey with her. We congratulate Kate, her family and her teachers.”An honors student and Seton Distinguished Scholar, Miss Robimon is the president of the National Honor Society and is Student Council executive board vice president. She is editor-in-chief of the school’s online newspaper Setonaire and editor-in-chief of Sojourn, the school’s yearbook. Miss Robimon is the president of the Leadership Team, founder of Coffee Careers Club, and a member of the Math League, Model Congress and Student Ambassador program. She is also among the group of students who helped establish the Mock Trial Team and is currently its captain.An accomplished pianist, violinist and vocalist, Miss Robimon is a member of the Seton Ensemble and an instrumentalist at school liturgies. She is assistant music director of the school’s summer musical and was the student assistant director of the fall musical. Miss Robimon participates in charitable opportunities through Toward Boundless Charity, which is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth. Additionally, Miss Robimon coordinated a book drive for a library in the Philippines. A varsity athlete, she has been on the basketball and golf teams.
