
Plainfield City Council to Hold May Meeting Monday; ICE Ban, Data Center Rules on Agenda

PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield City Council will hold its May business meeting on Monday, May 11 at 7pm in Municipal Court.Resolutions include a ban on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in city-owned buildings (link), a contract award for an underground flood management system at Milt Campbell Field (link), Planning Board investigations into whether four properties are in need of development, Queen City Academy Charter School's designation as the developer of a property at Grant Avenue and Plainfield Avenue (link), and more.There is an ordinance on first reading proposing rules to heavily regulate data centers in Plainfield (link) and another to remove much of the City of Plainfield's filming regulations to align with the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission's “Film Ready New Jersey” requirements (link).Read the entire agenda here.
