Roselle Park Honors Beloved Resident with Park Pavilion Naming

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The pavilion at Roselle Park's Boy Scout Park now bears the name of a longtime resident who gave back to the community in many ways.James “Jim” D. Vigliotti was remembered Sunday by borough leaders and family members and honored with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.“Thank you to everyone who joined the event to celebrate the life of Jim Vigliotti,” a post on social media said.“Jim Vigliotti embodied the very best of Roselle Park: courage in service, humility in life, and a deep love for his hometown,” Councilmember Jay Robaina, who was part of Sunday's ceremony, previously said.Vigliotti lived in Roselle Park from 1957 until his death in 2019. He was active at the Church of the Assumption working as a trustee, choral director and soloist.He was a longtime member of VFW Post #9119 and was known by many around the borough for his rendition of “God Bless America,” that he performed at many local events.
