Summit Area YMCA 5K Set For Sunday; Road Closures, Delays Expected Downtown

SUMMIT, NJ — Runners and residents should expect road closures and increased foot traffic Sunday morning as the Summit Area YMCA hosts its annual 5K beginning around 8:30 a.m.Maple Street in front of the YMCA will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to noon, with additional delays likely throughout the downtown area and along the race route, according to city officials. Residents traveling through downtown Summit on Sunday are advised to allow extra time and plan alternate routes where possible.
