
Traffic Alert: PSEG Work to Snarl Roads Across Summit Through Friday

SUMMIT, NJ — Motorists should plan for delays across several areas of Summit this week as utility work is scheduled on multiple roadways, according to city officials.From Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, road work conducted by PSEG is expected to take place daily between approximately 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with potential road closures and detours in effect.The following locations are scheduled for work:Laurel Avenue near Ashland RoadMountain Avenue at Devon RoadPine Ridge Drive at Pine Grove AvenueOak Ridge Avenue at Greenbriar DriveGreenbriar DriveSpringfield Avenue at Passaic AvenueOfficials advised drivers to allow extra travel time when commuting in or near these areas, noting that the schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change. Updates may be issued throughout the week as conditions evolve.City officials said efforts will be made to minimize disruptions to residents during the work.Residents with questions can contact the Summit Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau at 908-273-0051.
