LINDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, NJ β Hundreds of seniors at Linden High School gathered Friday morning, May 1, as Decision Day 2026 celebrated their postsecondary plans and the wide range of futures taking shape across the senior class. The gymnasium quickly filled with students wearing apparel representing their next steps, including colleges, universities, trade schools, and branches of the military. The scene was striking and symbolic. A sea of logos. A clear statement of direction. From Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, and Princeton University, to Kean University and Felician University, to community colleges such as Union College of Union County and Middlesex College, and out-of-state institutions including Pennsylvania State University and Columbia University, the range of commitments reflected a districtwide focus on multiple pathways to success. Students pursuing military service, including the United States Marine Corps, and career training through programs like Lincoln Tech, were also represented, reinforcing that success is not one path but many. Across the district, that support was visible. In classrooms, hallways, and administrative offices, faculty and staff wore apparel representing their own alma maters, creating a unified show of pride and encouragement. The message was clear. Students are supported, their choices are valued, and their futures matter. READ MORE: https://www.lindenps.org/article/2861785#LPS_ShowUpAndROAR
