
Vehicle Towed in Plainfield as Police Investigate Homicide

PLAINFIELD, NJ — On Sunday Night at around 10:30pm, the Union County Police towed a car believed, based on emergency radio transmissions, to be part of a homicide investigation.Several officers in three patrol vehicles were on Saint Nicholas Boulevard in Plainfield as the tow truck arrived shortly after it was called at 9:55pm. The street runs along the southern edge of Milt Campbell Field. Nearly 12 hours earlier, a shooting was reported on East Third Street on the park’s north side, where emergency radio calls indicated a victim received CPR.However, the Union County Police are investigating another recent Plainfield shooting that is a confirmed homicide—a fatal March 28 shooting on West Fourth Street. Authorities have released no updates regarding that case, nor have the victim’s identity, age, or gender been given.TAPinto Plainfield will provide more information on both the March 28 and May 10 shootings as it becomes available.
