Vehicle Towed in Plainfield as Police Investigate Homicide

PLAINFIELD, NJ — On Sunday Night at around 10:30pm, the Union County Police towed a car believed, based on emergency radio transmissions, to be part of a homicide investigation.Several officers in three patrol vehicles were on Saint Nicholas Boulevard in Plainfield as the tow truck arrived shortly after it was called at 9:55pm. The street runs along the southern edge of Milt Campbell Field. Nearly 12 hours earlier, a shooting was reported on East Third Street on the park’s north side, where emergency radio calls indicated a victim received CPR.However, the Union County Police are investigating another recent Plainfield shooting that is a confirmed homicide—a fatal March 28 shooting on West Fourth Street.
