PSE&G Electric Upgrades Coming to Roselle Park Streets

PSE&G crews and contractors are scheduled to begin electric system upgrades on two Roselle Park streets the week of June 29, 2026.

The work will affect Locust Street between 1st Avenue and West Colfax Avenue, and West Colfax Avenue between Market Street and Locust Street.

Crews will use small excavation equipment to dig test pits to locate underground utility lines. Holes will be temporarily backfilled after each phase until final road restoration is complete.

Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekend work is possible if conditions require it.

The project is expected to last 4 to 6 weeks, depending on weather. PSE&G does not expect service interruptions during construction.

What Residents Should Know

Temporary "No Parking" signs may be posted on affected streets. Residents will receive at least 24 to 48 hours notice before any restrictions take effect.

Some noise and traffic disruptions are expected during active work periods. PSE&G asks that residents, children, and pets stay clear of all construction zones.
