Summit NJ Road Work: PSE&G and Water Crews, June 29–July 1
Drivers in Summit should expect lane restrictions and possible road closures at multiple locations this week as utility crews from PSE&G, New Jersey American Water, and contractor CCG work through Tuesday, July 1.
Union County Life is reporting the full three-day schedule as posted by the City of Summit. Work runs from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at most locations, though schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Monday and Tuesday, June 30 and July 1
New Jersey American Water has crews on Laurel Avenue on both days. PSE&G is active at six intersections across both days: Springfield Avenue at Pine Grove Avenue, Blackburn Road at Blackburn Place, Chatham Road at River Road, Mountain Avenue at Elm Street, Prospect Street at Larned Road, and Springfield Avenue at Ashland Avenue.
Wednesday, July 1
Wednesday carries the most activity. New Jersey American Water continues on Laurel Avenue. PSE&G extends work to all six locations listed above and adds two new sites: Madison Avenue at Webster Avenue and Morris Avenue near Webster Avenue. The Morris Avenue work is performed by CCG and runs from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m.
Road closures and lane detours may be in effect at any active location. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes where possible.
