Roselle Park Firefighter Graduates Union County Fire Academy

Tyler Parris has completed the Union County Fire Academy's basic firefighter training program, earning his Firefighter 1 certification and joining the active roster of the Roselle Park Volunteer Fire Department.

Parris, a probationary firefighter, was among graduates from departments across Union County to complete the academy's basic course. The program covers live fire operations, emergency response protocols, and all requirements set by the state of New Jersey for Firefighter 1 certification.

Union County Life covers fire service milestones and volunteer recognition across all 21 Union County municipalities, including Roselle Park.

The Roselle Park Volunteer Fire Department has served the borough since 1901. The all-volunteer department operates three firehouses, fields more than 40 active firefighters, and responds to fires, emergencies, and mutual aid calls for a community of approximately 14,000 residents.

The Union County Fire/EMS Training Academy, located at 1075 Edward Street in Linden, trains both career and volunteer firefighters from departments throughout the county.
