Roselle Park Firefighters Cool Off Kids Every Tuesday in July

Every Tuesday evening this July, the Roselle Park Youth Baseball Softball League parking lot fills with the sound of water hitting pavement — and the children running through it are exactly where they want to be.

The Borough of Roselle Park is hosting four Community Cooldown events this summer, and Union County Life wants Roselle Park families to know about all of them. Each one runs on a Tuesday in July — the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th — from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The concept is simple and it works. Roselle Park Fire Department crews run live pump and water hose training drills. While they work, kids are welcome to dash through the spray. Training gets done. Families stay cool. No one goes home unhappy.

The events are free, open to all ages, and require no registration. Showing up is the only thing on the to-do list.

What to Expect

Each session runs for one hour. The parking lot location gives families room to spread out, and the drill format keeps the water flowing consistently throughout. There is no waiting for a brief sprinkle — the hoses are running the whole time.
