Cranford moves America 250 party indoors to escape the heat

The heat won today — and Cranford's America 250 celebration is moving inside because of it. What was planned as an outdoor gathering has shifted to the Cranford Recreation Center at 375 Centennial Avenue, where you and your neighbors can still mark the occasion from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on July 3, 2026.

The event remains free and will still have the food, games, and activities originally planned. Commissioner Gina Black shared the change with the community, keeping the spirit of the celebration alive even as temperatures pushed the party under a roof.
