Five Restaurants Opening or Arriving Soon in Westfield

Westfield's commercial corridors are attracting new investment in dining and retail, with five restaurants at varying stages of opening and two recent grand openings signaling ongoing momentum in the downtown dining scene.

The town's dining landscape is expanding with several established concepts bringing new operations to market. Vina, a Vietnamese street food restaurant, is opening on Quimby Street, backed by the owners of the established Kirshenbaum Baking Co. The restaurant, inspired by Chef Uyen's heritage, positions itself as blending Vietnamese culinary traditions with the service model established by its sister operation. LE BISTROT, a French restaurant serving traditional fare including crêpes, roasted chicken, onion soup, and classic desserts, is preparing to open at 103 Quimby Street. Kome Omakase, a high-end Japanese dining concept in which chefs compose multi-course meals based on seasonal ingredients and guest preference, is slated for South Avenue across from the train station. Insomnia Cookies, a national chain specializing in warm baked goods available until late evening, is preparing to open at 220 East Broad Street.

Two businesses have already completed openings. PopUp Bagels and Cookies N' Cream each held grand opening events in Westfield last week, adding to the recent additions to the town's retail and food service base.

The cluster of openings—both completed and forthcoming—reflects continued confidence in Westfield's retail environment and the town's role as a regional dining destination. The commercial activity consolidates several blocks along Quimby, Broad, and South Avenue corridors, mirroring patterns of investment in other Union County downtown districts where dining variety has become a competitive advantage for local commercial growth.
