
Flyers Track Club Qualifies Six Athletes to USATF National Junior Olympic Championships

The Flyers Track Club qualified six young athletes to the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships following the 2026 USATF Region 2 Track & Field Championships held July 9–12 at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The national meet is taking place July 27–August 2 at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California. Six Westfield-based athletes earned their spots at nationals, according to Union County Life's coverage of Westfield youth sports achievements.
7–8 Boys Division
Jackson Sarvey qualified in the 800m run.
9–10 Boys Division
Greyson Dunleavy qualified in the long jump, 800m run, and 1500m run—competing in three events at nationals.
13–14 Boys Division
Connor Barrett qualified for nationals in the 800m run and set a new Flyers Track Club record with a personal-best performance. Teammate Leo Anspach secured his trip to California by qualifying in the 3000m run.
Girls' Divisions
On the girls' side, Catalina Herits (9–10 Girls) earned her place at nationals in the 1500m run, while Sandra Jakubiuk (13–14 Girls) qualified in the 3000m run.
