Rahway Football Golf Fundraiser Draws 140+ at Kenilworth Course

More than 140 golfers turned out at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth on Friday, June 26, for the 12th annual Rahway High School Football Golf Outing—a day when neighbors, families, and local businesses gathered around a shared purpose: supporting the student athletes in the Rahway uniform.

Head Coach Brian Russo and his coaching staff have built this outing into a cornerstone of the football program's fundraising efforts. The day unfolded with contests and raffles, prizes ranging from televisions to golf equipment to signed jerseys and footballs. Between rounds, Il Forno a Legna's pizza truck kept golfers fueled, creating the kind of informal community gathering that makes these events memorable.

For readers in Rahway, Union County Life has followed this community tradition year after year. More than 30 individuals, businesses, and corporations showed up as hole sponsors and premium-level patrons—each one extending their support to these young athletes.

"The Rahway Football Golf Outing is in its 12th year, an event that not only brings the Rahway community, family, and friends together, but one that supports student athletes during the year on their journey towards academic and athletic success," Russo said.
