Recycling Talk Set in New Providence, NJ — July 2026

Neighbors who have ever wondered what happens after the recycling truck drives away will get answers on July 7, when the Summit Area Old Guard welcomes a guest speaker from Bayshore Recycling to New Providence Presbyterian Church.

Union County Life is sharing details on the talk, which is open to guests as part of the Old Guard's regular Tuesday morning speaker series held in New Providence.

Jennifer Solewski, vice president of business and technical development at Bayshore Recycling, will walk attendees through how the Woodbridge based company processes curbside recyclables, construction debris, metals, dredged materials, and other recoverable resources. Solewski has spent 20 years working in recycling, solid waste management, environmental compliance, permitting, and business development.

Bayshore's 58 acre Keasbey facility is licensed to process up to 3,000 tons of curbside recyclables a day, helping communities reduce waste and recover materials.

The Summit Area Old Guard is a fellowship for active men of retirement age, founded in 1930. The group meets most Tuesday mornings in an auditorium in New Providence for presentations, and also runs discussion groups, sports and outdoor activities, and social gatherings. Members pay minimal dues, and volunteers help run the organization.
