The Organizer's Vision

Westfield resident Keith Hertell is opening his backyard, known as Hertell Gardens at 241 East Dudley Avenue, to the benefit concert. Hertell serves as immediate past president of the board of trustees for the New Jersey Festival Orchestra, which has previously held concerts at Hertell Gardens. "Two loves I have are nonprofits and music," Hertell said. "For me, this was an opportunity to bring them together."

Hertell reflected on his motivation for the event: "Philosophically, I believe if someone has an excess of something, they should share it, and I happen to have an excess of space, which is my backyard."

Pure McCartney performs songs from Paul McCartney's solo career and his time with Wings. Doors open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. The venue holds up to 450 people. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and drinks for a relaxed garden gathering atmosphere.
