Springfield: Duffy's Lot Stormwater Pipe Replacement Planned for 2027

Springfield is working to replace a stormwater pipe behind Duffy's lot, Springfield Administrator John Bussiculo reported at the July 14 Township Committee meeting.
Permits have been secured from the state Department of Environmental Protection, a key early step in the project. However, easements are still needed from neighboring property owners before work can proceed.
"We want to replace the pipe that runs along the back," Bussiculo said. "We've got our permits from DEP, but we've got to get easement agreements to go on the couple of lots that are in the back there to rip the pipe out and put a new pipe in."
Township Attorney Kraig Dowd is working with property owners to secure the easements needed for construction access and work area.
