Berkeley Heights Good Scout Awards Dinner Set for Oct. 22

Scouting America will hold its 20th Annual Berkeley Heights Good Scout Awards Dinner on October 22, 2026, at The Primavera Regency, 1080 Valley Road in Stirling. The evening opens with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 p.m. Five Berkeley Heights residents will be recognized for their contributions to the community and to Scouting.

The 2026 honorees span multiple spheres of community impact. Manuel Couto, a former Berkeley Heights Councilman, brings decades of civic leadership. Kristy LoPresti, Co-President of the Berkeley Heights Education Foundation, champions educational initiatives. Bridget Neigel and David Neigel, owners of Rita's of Berkeley Heights, combine business ownership with service; David also serves as Trustee and Ministry Lead at Church of the Little Flower. Daniel Tatosian, Scoutmaster of Troop 68 Berkeley Heights, directly develops young leaders through Scouting. Kelly Villanueva, President of the Governor Livingston PTO and Co-Leader of Berkeley Heights SEPAG, nurtures community connection across schools and civic engagement.

Louisa Grossman and Tiffany Escott are serving as event co-chairs, bringing the evening together. A wine pull will take place during the program to raise additional funds for Scouting, adding an interactive element to the celebration while supporting the organization's mission.
