Hillside Public Schools gathered its administrators, teachers, staff, and Board of Education members at Hillside High School on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, for the district's annual convocation marking the start of the new school year.

Acting Superintendent Dr. Gretel Pérez and Board of Education President Dr. Donald Howard, Jr. both addressed the group. Members of the Hillside JROTC presented the colors for the Pledge of Allegiance.
