Maria Torres · Union County Life

Two historians will bring Kenilworth's Revolutionary War past to life at the Kenilworth Senior Center on Thursday, September 17, at 7 p.m. Robert G. Woods and Michael T. Naya Jr. will present a program titled "New Orange/Kenilworth During the American Revolution" at 526 Boulevard.

The presentation will highlight stories about local places, individuals, and families with ties to the Revolutionary War. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served, and the general public is invited to attend. Advance registration is requested.

The program is hosted by the Kenilworth/AmRev250 Committee, which was organized by the Borough of Kenilworth in partnership with the Kenilworth Historical Society. The committee is made up of a cross section of residents and meets on the third Tuesday of each month.

The September 17 presentation is one of several events the committee has planned as part of a year long celebration of America's 250th Anniversary in 2026. Additional events on the calendar include a "Toss of the Town" Cornhole Event on September 25, a "Doo-wop/Sock Hop" on October 23, and a program titled "Let Freedom Ring: 250 Years of American Music."
